Practice mathematics.
I made this page so that my students could have an unlimited supply of practice problems concerning some of the fundamental skills necessary for high school mathematics: the ability to solve the problems at this site is a necessary but by no means sufficient prerequisite for success with high school mathematics. The exercise pages are behind the buttons to the left: 'Fractions', 'Decimal numbers', 'Negative numbers', 'Powers', 'Expressions', 'Algebra'. You must log in to visit these pages, but you can log in anonymously be entering 'guest' or 'anon' in the login popup -- without password. Alternatively, if you are using a laptop or stationary computer, you can click here: If you are logged in anonymously you can ignore the number after 'kvar' (problems remaining). If you would like to become a user you can contact me at briansmith2865@gmail.com.
Note: The main version of this site is in Swedish. I am slowly translating the site to English, but it will be a while before I get around to everything. In particular the exercise pages will probably be translated last. However, you can do most of the problems by asking your browser to translate to (wonky) English. The exception is the page where you write decimal numbers in words: the software is expecting a Swedish answer.
How to use. When you click on one of the buttons to the left (at the bottom on a mobile device) you will be taken to the contents of the indicated section. In the contents section you will find, among other things, links to exercise pages. On each one of these pages you will get a math problem of a particular kind. To get a new problem you click on 'new problem' (perhaps translated as 'new task'). You may also choose to see the solution by clicking on the button marked 'solution'. If you look to the top right you will see how many problems you have left to solve, but you may continue to solve problems even after the number there has counted down to 0! This doesn't apply to the section on multiplication: the multiplication pages have neither solutions nor 'number remaining'.
Feel free to answer incorrectly as many times as you would like. I only record the number you have answered correctly.
Prerequisites. There can also be prerequisites to visit some of the pages.
There are no prerequisites at present!
Recommendations. I have tried to make these pages legible on both laptops and mobile telephones. The presentation is not perfect on either of these, but it is much better on a laptop and I would recommend that you either use a laptop or stationary computer. At any rate, it's best to sit down and work for real when you do mathematics. I would recommend that you solve each problem on paper in a methodical fashion before you write the answer in the answer box!
